@buzzfeed @huffingtonpost @micdotcom @jezebel are not credible news sources

Also @salon

also @theyoungturks

don’t forget @nowthisnews

@npr

@msnbc

Wouldn’t it just be easier to list the ones that are credible?

I’m not sure I even trust ABC(Australian) or the BBC anymore after some of the crap I have seen. The domestic commercial news is just glorified clickbait.

That’s the thing though, I don’t think any news site is credible these days. As they’re all trying to push their own agenda instead of just reporting the news without any personal or political bias.

True. I tagged the ones I see most often abuse clickbait articles targeted toward young people who don’t bother to do more than read the title. Conservative sites do it too but I feel like less people buy into that stuff. At least people my age.

You can add @cracked to the list as well, as the site has become a notorious click bait site ever since the whole Zoe Quinn thing went down.

Watch: This ad perfectly captures the morning struggle of all working women.

Follow @this-is-life-actually

-complain for decades about unequal working opportunities
-recieve equal working opportunities and all that comes with it
-create an ad complaining about other ads and mild inconveniences

This is why nobody really gives a shit.

“Mild inconveniences” they’re showing how ads for women in the morning are completely unrealistic and have statistics backing up how most mornings for women go. Really, all you’re doing is complaining yourself, which seems hypocritical in retrospect.

Also, about that equal working opportunity, look at how much a woman makes to a man, then tell me it’s “equal”

Show me a single realistic ad for anyone I’ll wake you up from your dream. Ads are always idealizations of life. Do you think women really shave already shaved legs on a beach surrounded by strapping men and a soundtrack? Do you think men who use Viagra get to have sex with a wife as hot as Helen Mirren in a bathtub on a remote but luxurious getaway cabin in the mountains? Of course not, and anyone with two braincells to rub together knows that. The “idealized life” angle of advertising has been well known for decades, even before television was the major form of advertising. Gimmicky advertising has been heavily criticized as well even in other forms of media. I work in advertising, we’re all quite well aware of this.

If women are taking the ads seriously then they’re the ones with a problem. Do you take infomercials seriously?

Silly women, thinking they can use hammers, am I right?

Plus look at some of the stats. 9%, 21%, 57%? These aren’t even significant, and many can be explained with “who gives a fuck, that’s what you decided to do with your time.” It’s not as though men don’t go through this or even worse conditions, but you won’t see chicks complaining about doing roofing in the summer or working a oil rig for 5-7 days straight in back-breaking and hazardous conditions will you?

This whole thing is a non-issue packaged for page views that make mic.com ad revenue.

And since you bring up the wage gap, I tell you it’s not an issue either. Almost all of the gap between the total sum earned by men and the total sum earned by women can be explained by choice. It was a misinterpretation of a census report decades ago and has been debunked thoroughly ever since but so long as some groups can use it as a platform for “give me more” it annoyingly persists. But please, show me where a woman makes less than a man due to sexism and not her choice to accept lower pay for better benefits, take unpaid leave for family purposes, choose lower paying jobs or jobs that pay less but have flexible hours or who chooses to work part-time only. Where sexist pay does exist can be confronted and legally expunged with laws that have also been in place for decades.

So yeah, when I see this shit I’m going to point it out and complain.
